Pro Rank Tracker Review: Your All-in-one Rank Tracking and Reporting Tool
Google “SEO Rank Tracker.”
Go ahead, I’ll wait.
Scary, isn’t it?
There are well over a million results.
For the new business or blog owner, finding the right tool to track search engine rankings can be mortifying.
It’s such an important part of having a successful online business, but how are you meant to know which tool is actually best?
Well, I’ll be honest. A lot of them are pretty good, and you’d get by just fine.
But fewer really offer a great user experience together with top-notch results.
This is where Pro Rank Tracker comes into the picture.
It provides a superior user experience while still giving you the details you need to actually take the right steps to improve your rankings.
What Is Pro Rank Tracker?
Put simply, Pro Rank Tracker is a one-stop shop for search engine rank tracking.
That just means that you can log in, add the terms you want to track, and then see exactly how well you’re ranking for all of those terms—all from one centralized dashboard.
From there, you can also download detailed reports and discover new terms that you can rank for, so that you can keep building on your SEO strategy.

Track Your Search Engine Rankings
Okay, this should be pretty obvious by now, but Pro Rank Tracker’s main offering is SEO rank tracking.
However, there’s much more to it than meets the eye. For example, you can find out how your URL ranks on different search engines and devices, as well as in different locations and languages.
Here, I’m going to show you how easy and thorough this process is with Pro Rank Tracker.
Add Terms for Tracking
First, go to the “Add URLs and Terms” tab. The easiest and fastest way to add your information is with the “Add Wizard,” so that’s the process I’ll describe here.
Type in your URL name and the other information that it asks for, like where you want to track your rankings (desktop, mobile, YouTube, Amazon, etc.).
Then, input which search engines you want to track your URL on, and if you’d like to localize the tracking.
This allows you to customize your search to a particular search engine and location, which will help you make more educated decisions about what steps to take in the future with your SEO.
On the next screen, you can customize the search terms that you want to track. This basically just lets you narrow down your rank tracking to the terms that you’re particularly interested in.
On the final screen, Pro Rank Tracker will suggest other terms that you might want to track based on the terms that you added. You can add any of these suggested terms for tracking as well.
This is a particularly nice feature if you’re using Pro Rank Tracker as a beginner or to explore new keyword ideas.
Find Out Where You Rank
Now that you’ve added your website’s URLs and the search terms you want to track, you’ll be able to see all your ranking data.
The data is presented across four pages: the Dashboard, URL View, Term View and List View. These pages all give you slightly different insights on your current rankings.
The Dashboard is a general overview, giving you a bird’s-eye view of your progress.
You’ll find things like your ranking summary, which shows what percentage of your terms are ranking—and how well they’re ranking—on a certain timeframe.
The URL View allows you to see how each of your URLs are tracking individually.
You can find out specific details about each URL like what terms are ranking highest and how rankings have changed in the last 24 hours, seven days or one month.
The Term View is targeted at each individual term that you’re tracking and shows you how each of them is doing.
From here, you can filter by time, location and search engine settings to analyze each search term in depth.
And finally, the List View displays each URL that you’re tracking and gives you detailed ranking reports that you can download for later reference.
These reports include each search term and its rankings along with other information like location and search engine.
From the List View, you can download daily and overview reports, which are excellent ways to view and record your progress and gauge your success.
Create Customized Reports for Your Website
The reporting side of Pro Rank Tracker gives you incredibly detailed information about many different aspects of your website and progress.
The sheer number of customizable, downloadable reports is staggering.
Overview reports give broad-view looks at all your URLs and their status. This includes things like progress over time, summaries of tags, groups and notes about each URL.
Progress reports focus on the timeframe, showing you the progress of your URLs over time. These reports are separated by day, week and month.
Comparison reports compare your URLs or terms side by side, which is great for identifying the areas you should focus on.
Benchmark reports compare terms of a single URL from one date to another. You can adjust the dates that you compare and essentially see if your terms are improving (or not).
Shared reports is an excellent addition for teams and allows you to generate a link to any report and share it with others.
Other Tools and Features
There are a few more little details of Pro Rank Tracker worth mentioning, as they help to make it extra user-friendly and flexible.
Integrations allow you to combine Pro Rank Tracker with other applications like WordPress, to easily view your Pro Rank Tracker dashboard from your WordPress administrator’s panel.
Sub-accounts let you add other accounts under your main account, which has useful applications in a team or agency setting.
Mobile support and cloud storage are minor features but work to make Pro Rank Tracker more accessible away from your desktop.
Drawbacks
Pro Rank Tracker is an excellent application, and the only real downside is its lack of support for anything other than rank tracking.
This doesn’t necessarily reduce the quality of Pro Rank Tracker—what it does, it does very well. It just means that you’ll have to juggle it with a few other tools for a complete SEO package.
I also prefer the interface on Rank Tracker (confusing, I know), which is a little simpler and cleaner. But Pro Rank Tracker takes the cake with the sheer number and range of reports available.
Pricing
Pro Rank Tracker is a versatile application with versatile pricing depending on what you need.
There’s a free version, which offers pretty thorough coverage for a limited number of URLs and search terms.
From there, prices start at $19/month to track 300 terms, and go all the way up to $189/month for 6,500 terms, which would be suitable for an agency or large team.
Ultimately, the fact of the matter is that you have to be tracking your rank somehow.
If you aren’t tracking, you’re actively falling behind because you can’t respond to changes in the same way as you’d otherwise be able to.
With Pro Rank Tracker, you can do just that.
You can monitor progress, predict change and ultimately push your website closer to the top of the pack.
So get out there, track some rankings and push your business to the next level!
