- Rankings
- Analytics & Traffic

- Online marketing plan
- Website audit

- Social
The drop-down bar makes any project readily available whether you have one or 100 projects to maintain.
Rankings
Under the Projects category, the Rankings tab where you’ll go to start monitoring your daily, weekly and monthly mobile and desktop keyword rankings.
As with any keyword rank tracking, you choose the keywords you want to keep an eye on, and SE Ranking does the work for you.
This feature provides search volume information (the number of searches done for that keyword each month) and historical data about how your rankings have changed over time. It also breaks down rankings by top 10, top 30 and top 100—not that anything outside top 10 really matters in the SEO world, but it does give you an idea of how rankings improve overall (or don’t) with time.
There’s even an easy-to-read graph available where you can compare each keyword to your overall average rankings and the average rankings of competitors.
What makes this rankings feature stand out is how granular it is. For one, it allows you to choose specific locations, right down to the ZIP code. This way, you can generate reports based off of keyword searches that your target audience is likely making.
And you don’t have to limit yourself to just Google, you can choose from other search engines too.
Analytics & Traffic
The goal of improving SERP rankings is to increase the flow of organic traffic reaching your site’s pages. So, naturally, there’s a heavy emphasis on seeing your website analytics and traffic within this tool.
There are several components within the analytics and traffic tool that provide value. The main components of this feature are:
Traffic: Where are website visitors arriving on your site? Which pages are going unseen without traffic? Do a complete analysis of your whole site based on your keyword rankings.
Snippets: Has your content earned featured snippets? Now you’ll know! This is virtually impossible to do without a tool, since it’s hard to guess when Google has pulled some text from a page of yours to answer a user query. If you do have snippet, here you can check the effectiveness of your snippets to increase the number of clicks from search results.
Google Search Console data: Analyze all the search terms that link or lead to your website.
SEO potential: Assess expected traffic volume, traffic cost and conversions.
As you may have inferred from the note about Google Search Console, this feature allows you to connect directly to Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools which could result in a supply of more information about organic traffic from search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing.
Competitors
If you love some competition, check this feature out, where you can compare your website to competitor sites, side-by-side.
The competitors feature will help with any reconfiguring of your website and SE optimization needs in order to beat your competitors.
Main competitors: Provides detailed information on up to five different competitors.
Top 10: Provides URLs, backlinks, tags and more to your top 10 competitors.
All competitors: Provides URLs, backlinks and tags to more than 10 different competitors.
Online Marketing Plan
SE Ranking goes through your website with a fine-tooth comb and seeks out exactly what you’ll need to modify in order for your brand to be successful.
They provide a step-by-step SEO guide with over 40 different suggestions for search engine optimization—which is your main goal, isn’t it?
It takes a lot of the guesswork out of what you actually need to do once you’ve got your data and analyses in hand, which is something many similar SEO tools lack.
Website Audit
The three-in-one website audit feature supplies you with valuable reports on your website, compares crawls and monitors for any page changes.
This information is crucial to understanding how your website works, and what modifications need to be made in order to gain maximum search engine optimization.
Online businesses, especially, live and breathe off of how well they can rank, in order to build up customers and website visits. If you’re one of those people, then this is an extremely important feature.
Report
This comprehensive report provides you with a complete analysis of your website. It measures how well (or not so well) your website runs.
It provides an overall score out of 100 percent, graded on several different factors, such as crawled pages, passed checks, important fixes and semi-important fixes.
These all impede your overall search engine optimization. A poorly run website means a poorly run business, especially if you own an online business.
Compare Crawls
Once more than one audit has been completed for an individual website, this feature allows you to compare the span of results.
This can be the results of two audits or 20 audits, you pick.
The crawls will compare which items improved and which worsened. This comparison enables you to easily catch the negative optimization trend, and change them before a search engine crawler indexes your website.
These changes will allow you to secure your website in terms of ranking drops and traffic decreases.
Page Changes Monitoring
This SEO tool is designed to quickly find any changes that have been made to your website pages.
Why is this important, you may ask?
Well, if you’re a webmaster and your content manager makes any vital changes on your website without consulting you first, you’ll be notified immediately of those changes.
Sometimes significant changes, such as a deletion of an SEO plugin, could cause your website to drop in ranking, so it’s important you’re always brought up to speed with any modifications made to your website.
This tool is also great if your website is ever hacked because the monitor will immediately pick up on any malicious codes or links and notify you to quickly remove the information.
Backlinks
Backlinks are an important aspect of how many views or clicks you’ll accumulate in a day.
Why?
Well, backlinks are incoming links to a webpage. The amount of backlinks you’ve sourced from your website does affect the number of visitors on your page.
This specific backlink tool tracks all backlinks and their basic parameters. All you have to do is add the pages that you’ve linked or plan to link to. Once that’s done, the backlinks feature will check and analyze all links for you.
Social
If you absolutely dread switching back and forth between social media handles, the Social feature has an S on its chest today, like a regular Superman.
With this feature, you can monitor all of your accounts, pages and groups in social networks all in one place. You must connect API in order to use this feature. Here are some of the included components:
Facebook metrics: Connect your Facebook account(s) to utilize analytical and auto-posting facilities.
Twitter metrics: Connect your Twitter account(s) to utilize analytical and auto-posting facilities.

Cons
A free version of SE Ranking isn’t available. Unlike with WebCEO, a free and unlimited trial version isn’t available for your projects and keyword rank monitoring.
Basic plan lacks features. In comparison to other major digital marketing tools like SEMrush, SE Ranking doesn’t quite compete with the amount of features they provide for their basic (personal) plan.
Custom name backgrounds and headers not available. The custom pages don’t allow much room for customization to headers, backgrounds, adding images and adjusting fonts. You’re only allowed a logo that doesn’t position very well.
Limited amount of keywords. Unlike MOZ and Raven, the number of keywords available per plan is limited, whereas competing brands have an unlimited number of keywords.
Can’t export data to an excel sheet. For many marketers, your go-to for exporting data is an excel sheet (CSV). This is unfortunately not possible with SE Ranking.
Backlinks data isn’t complete. For a complete backlink profile analysis, you’ll need to seek out a more specific tool like Monitor Backlinks.
