When you will add your domain for the first time on Monitor Backlinks, you will be requested to add your main competitors.

By adding these competitors, we will monitor when they are getting new backlinks and email you as soon as this happens. Monitor Backlinks also checks their rankings in Google for your main keywords and provide a side-by-side comparison.

If you decided to skip this step, you can add or manage your competitors later from your Dashboard. On the left side menu, click on “Competitors”.

Choose your domain and click “Add new competitor”.

Add your competitor domain, and click “Add competitor”. Monitor Backlinks will automatically extract their backlinks and their rankings in Google for your main keywords.

You can click on “View links” and verify their backlinks profile. This is a great place to find new opportunities to build backlinks to your website.

How to remove your competitors from Monitor Backlinks

If you want to manage or remove a competitor from your domain. You can easily do this from your competitors page. Click on the cross next to your competitors domain.

To view and verify their backlinks, click on “View Links”.

How to check competitors rankings
To access the side by side comparison between your rankings and your competitors, click on “Keyword rankings” from the left menu.

You will get access to the rankings overview and a summary of your keywords activity.
