[Update] Monitor Backlinks Now Features Keyword Filters

We’re excited to announce a new Monitor Backlinks feature!

You’ve asked us to help you better manage your keywords, and we’ve got you covered.

Our keyword rank tracker tool already stores and tracks all your keywords in one place. You can see your keyword rankings, ranking histories, recent changes and competitor rankings at a glance. You even get keyword email reports delivered straight to your inbox, so you’re always on top of things.

So, what’s new?

Now, you can apply keyword filters within the Monitor Backlinks keyword tracking tool, easily sorting through everything with a few mouse clicks and key taps.

We’re pretty keyed up about this one. It seems simple, but it really makes a difference when working with keywords.

How to Filter Keywords in Monitor Backlinks

Monitor Backlinks users: You’ll be able to see this new feature available in your Monitor Backlinks dashboard right now!

If you don’t have a Monitor Backlinks account yet, feel free to take our tool for a spin with the 30-day free trial so you can check it out.

To view all of your keywords, click the Rank Tracker tab.

Filter by Keyword Text

You can start by filtering by what’s in the keyword text.

Let’s say you only want to see keywords that include the word “backlink.”

All keywords that don’t have the word “backlink” in them have been filtered out, and all the remaining keywords have the word “backlink” in them.

Filter by Tags

You can add tags to your keywords and filter by them.

For example, you might create a tag for all your keywords that fit in a thematic category like “Content Marketer” or “Priority Keyword”—it’s totally customizable, so you can write tags for whatever groupings make sense for your unique keyword list.

Then, you can go into the Filters and click on any tag. This pulls up only the keywords that have that tag applied.

Filter by Excluding Tags

Of course, you can also omit certain groupings of keywords from the list by selecting the “Tags is not” filtering option.

This will remove from view all keywords that have the chosen tag applied.

Filter by Ranking

What if you’d only like to see keywords that have achieved (or haven’t achieved) a certain ranking in the SERP?

Click “Ranking” and choose a range. For example, if you choose “is less than or equal to>1o”, you’ll only see keywords that are ranking at position 10 or higher (up to position 1) in the SERPs.

Filter by Volume

Here’s a handy filter for whenever you’d like to see what’s going on with higher-volume or lower-volume keywords in particular. Just enter a chosen volume in “is greater than”, “is equal to” or “is less than or equal to” to apply a volume filter.

Filter by Ranking Change

This is a valuable filter you might never have realized you needed—but now you will. This Ranking Change filter lets you view keywords that have experienced a move up or down in the SERPs.

For example, you could apply a “is greater “ 30 filter to view only the keywords that have 30 places or more upward in the SERP.

You could also apply a “is less than or equal to” 30 filter to view only keywords that have moved 30 places or more downward in the SERP.

This lets you easily see which keywords are experiencing changes in SERP rankings.

Filter by Date Added

And of course, sometimes you just want to see the keywords added within a certain period of time.

That’s easily accomplished with this Filter feature. Choose from the given date ranges or select “Forever” to see all your keywords.

View Data for Filtered Keywords

You’ll see how many keywords have gone up and gone down in the SERP right on your Rank Tracker dashboard, along with a clear graph to display ranking trends.

The above dashboard is displaying information for all of our tracked keywords. When filters are selected, Monitor Backlinks updates all of the numbers, graphs and charts on the page.

Below, we’ve applied the Keyword Text filter to only see keywords that include the word “backlink.”

As you can see, all of the information above has been instantly updated. Now, it only displays information for the keywords we’ve filtered for.
